Vision 2009 – this coming friday
I’m speaking at this years Vision event run by the British Journal of Photography. It’s on Friday at the Business Design Centre in Islington.
Other confirmed speakers are Martin Parr and Eugene Richards! And I’m going to miss both of their presentations as I am speaking at the same time. dammit! I won’t be offended if you go and see either of these two greats of photography (I know who I would choose!), but if you can’t squeeze into the main lecture hall, then come along to Seminar Room A at either 11.30 or 2.30. I’ll be talking about my experiences in Spain this year, photographing a body of work about the country’s struggle with an economic crisis. As well as showing work from this series, I’ll also talk about how I have made the transition from graduate to working photographer, and how I went about applying for and eventually winning the BJP’s project assistance award.
